How do I backwash my filter?

Posted by cara knapp on

Although filter types can vary, the most common backwash valve is a push/pull design that allows for the reversal of water flow.

By placing the valve in the opposite position when under normal running conditions, this allows the filter to flush and remove the debris that is trapped inside.

Please remember that the system should always be turned off prior to any valve movements.
